RTCCMC backs down after spending Ā£20,000 on legal fees, finally realising it was never going to win legal dispute after.

We have been informed the Riviere Towans Chalet Camp Management Company RTCCMC has recently contacted all Company Members informing them it has spent another extraordinary amount, in excess of Ā£20,000, on legal fees.

Members informed us they understood the legal dispute arose when a Company Member, quite rightly, requested that secondary site entrances were opened when the site was open at Christmas.

The Board under the leadership of Chairman Martin Weigh, refused to allow free access to the site by Members during this period by keeping some site entrances locked causing a breach of covenant.

The email explains, apparently in usual RTCCMC style that they have finally woken up to the fact that they had no chance of winning a legal case when they were breaching covenants. The email also highlighted the Boardā€™s petty and childish attitude when it went on to state they would no longer be locking site gates at all, even when the site is closed.

RTCCMC Members have been left furious, not only by the squandering of over Ā£20,000 of their money on legal fees but the Boards ridiculous decision not to open the gates just when the site was open as requested. This has left Members concerned over security when the site is closed, some suggested putting devices such as a mechanical keypad and a battery back up for the main barrier but the RTCCMC Board, in its apparent usual style, refused to listen to any suggestions by the Company Members and refuses to engage with them.

One Member told us they (RTCCMC) thought they could bully Members using Members’ money. If RTCCMC had a case, they would have gone to court and claimed costs. This was just about bullying Members, ironically using money Members had paid the Company in site fees.

In a further email to Members the Board claimed to have received ā€œpositive feedbackā€. All Members we spoke to had nothing positive to say about the Boardā€™s decision and nothing positive to say about the Board as a whole.

Riviere Towans Camp Rubbish Problems Continue

It seems the rubbish problems caused by the Riviere Towans Chalet Camp Management Company (RTCCMC) continue with complaints now appearing on a Hayle facebook group.

A recent complaint said “Holidaying at Rivere Towans Chalet site !!! Some one needs to call the environmental health !” and shows overflowing bins with rumours of rats and safety regulations being broken.
